Emrick T. “Tommy” Spotted Horse, 41 of Fort Totten, ND died at his home on Saturday evening, December 4, 2004. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 10, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Fort Totten. Fr. Charles Leute will celebrate the Mass and burial will be in Spirit Lake Assembly of God Cemetery, Fort Totten. A Wake and Rosary Service will be held at the Fort Totten Recreation Center on Thursday beginning at 5:00 p.m. with the Rosary Service at 8:00 p.m. The procession to the Fort Totten Recreation Center will leave the Lake Country Auto Parking Lot at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Serving as Pallbearers will be: Mitchell Spotted Horse, Larry Spotted Horse, Waylon Red Tomahawk, Louis Black Lance, Roger Feather, Bentley Greybear, Mike Joshua and Joseph Roulette. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Tommy’s Many Friends and Relatives Emrick Thomas Spotted Horse was born on July 15, 1963 at Devils Lake, ND the son of Philip and Vivian (Dunn) Spotted Horse Jr. He was reared and educated in Fort Totten. He continued his education at the United Tribes College in Bismarck where he received his Welding Certificate in 1986. He also received his Heavy Equipment Operator’s Certificate from Park Construction. Tommy worked a various jobs in the Fort Totten area including Sioux Manufacturing. Music brought Tommy great joy and he had a special talent and gift for playing the drums. As a professional musician and drummer, Tommy played in many of the area bands. Tommy will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Tommy is survived by his Daughters: Lara and Lisha Spotted Horse, Manderson, South Dakota Sister: Emerald Robertson and husband, Matt Brothers: Myron Spotted Horse and wife, Sharon Philip Spotted Horse III and wife, Sally all of Fort Totten Many Nieces and Nephews also survive Aunts: Marcella Spotted Horse, Whiteshield, ND Pearl Reed, Newtown, ND Marlene Mahto, Dickenson, ND Uncle: Kenneth Dunn of St. Michael, ND Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia Agneaux.
