Mabel Katherine Fitzpatrick

Mabel K. Fitzpatrick, 90 of Devils Lake, ND formerly of Grand Harbor Township, rural Devils Lake died on Thursday, December 09, 2004 at the Good Samaritan Center, Devils Lake. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake. Fr. Joseph Christensen will celebrate the Mass and burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Devils Lake. Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Vigil Service at 4:00 p.m. Visitation on Tuesday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral Mass. Serving as Pallbearers be: Larry Piatz, Jerome Risovi, James Wang, Lewis Duffey, Robert Senger and Danny Erickson. Mabel Katherine Meyer was born on November 20, 1914 at rural Harlow, ND the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Sherry) Meyer. She was reared and educated at Harlow, attending the Isabel School. She graduated in 1934. Mabel worked as a nanny and at the Fairmont Creamery before marriage. On November 16, 1948, Mabel was united in marriage to Delmar “John” Fitzpatrick at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Brinsmade. They lived and worked on John’s family homestead in Grand Harbor Township for many years. In 1984 they moved to Devils Lake. John died on February 4, 1999. Mabel was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Altar Society. May Mabel rest in peace. Mabel is survived by her Brother: Bernard (Jean) Meyer, York, ND Sisters: Albina Erickson, Maddock, ND Irene (Joseph) Risovi, Fessenden, ND Brother-In-Law: Johnny Piatz, Towner, ND Many Nieces and Nephews also survive.
