Louise "Peggy" Collinson

Louise (Peggy) Collinson, 86, of Devils Lake, ND, died on Thursday, November 18, 2004 in an Aneta, ND nursing home. Louise Clausen was born March 27, 1918 at Devils Lake, ND. She received her education in the Devils Lake school system and at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. She married James B. Collinson on August 7, 1940 at Highland Park, IL. He died in December 1991. They lived in various communities in Iowa and Illinois before returning to Devils Lake. Mr. Collinson served as vice president and later as president of the First National Bank of Devils Lake. They spent winter months in Maui, Hawaii upon retirement. She served in the community college library and was a strong supporter of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, UND, Lake Region and Carnegie Public Library. Survivors include a son, Joe (Donna) of Fargo, a daughter, Catherine of Tucson, AZ, two grandsons and one great granddaughter. There will be a memorial service at Parkview Aneta Nursing Home on Wednesday, November 24th at 11:00 a.m. There will be a private family graveside service at a later date at the Devils Lake Cemetery.
