Aaron Thomas Nash, 33, of Denver, Colorado, formerly of the Spirit Lake Nation began his journey to the Spirit World on July 31, 2020.
Aaron was born on March 21, 1987, in Devils Lake, ND, the son of Charris Lynn Smith and Thomas Brian Nash. He attended the Dora Moore School, PSI Charter School, Denver, Co, Oakland Adult Education graduating with the class of 2009, receiving his Culinary Arts Certification.
Wherever Aaron was, he made many, many friends. Aaron spent his time traveling to numerous states by foot. Aaron’s grandfather, Conrad William Smith, traveled by foot and Aaron greatly admired him. When Aaron walked, he always carried an electric guitar.
Aaron worked in many restaurants, including side by side with his mother at PF Changs in Lakewood, CO.
If there was any thing anyone needed , Aaron was there to help in any way he could. Aaron was rich with friendships, making sure he cared for his elders and friends, even giving the shirt off his back or his jacket to an elder.
Aaron loved living life, music was his love, the Denver Broncos, Colorado Avalanche, Metal Concerts , hanging out with relatives, joking, laughing and enjoying life. He loved cooking meals and was an avid reader.
Aaron is survived by his mother Charris Lynn Smith, Grand Forks, ND; sister Mary Lynn Gonzales – McCarthy, Breckenridge, CO; brothers Ethan Terrence Nash, Gainesville, FL, Damon Jon Smith, Denver, CO and Shay Peter McCarthy, Denver, CO; uncle Mylo Ironbear, Sylmar, CA and aunties Gail Nash, Devils Lake, and Elaine Robinson, St. Michael, ND; many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Brian Nash; grandfathers Herbert Nash and Conrad William Smith; grandmother Annette Marie Smith; aunties Leslie Lynnette Smith, Francine Pino Lamrose, Tammie Lou Putnam and Sandra Lamrose Miller; and uncle Edward Moses “Beetle” Smith.
Mass of Christian Burial for Aaron will be on Friday, September 4, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Fort Totten ND with Father Charles Leute OP celebrating the Mass. Aaron will be laid to rest in the Riverside Cemetery, rural Sheyenne ND immediately following the funeral Mass.
