Memorials in Beverly's name will be directed toward a nursing scholarship through Lake Region State College.
Beverly M. Dalziel, a life-long resident of Devils Lake, ND passed away on Monday, December 23, 2019 at CHI, St. Alexius Health, Devils Lake Hospital. She was 54 years old.
Beverly Marie, daughter of Bernard and Elizabeth “Betty” (Leiphon) Bachmeier was born on February 21, 1965 at Devils Lake. She was reared and educated in Devils Lake, graduating from Devils Lake High School with the class of 1983. Bev continued her education at Lake Region Junior College, graduating in the Licensed Practical Nursing Program. She went to work in Albuquerque, NM and lived with Tom and Joan Davis working for a nursing agency. Following that she worked in Phoenix, AZ for a while.
Beverly was united in marriage to Todd Dalziel on August 2, 1986 at St. Joseph Catholic Church and they established their home in the Devils Lake area and were the proud parents of 3 boys. Beverly was employed as the school nurse at the North Dakota School for the Deaf from 1986 to 1999. For the past 20 years, Bev was a clinic nurse at Lake Region Clinic and Altru Clinic.
First and foremost, Beverly was a devoted wife and mother. Her family meant the world to her. She was the event planner, getting everyone together to celebrate holidays, birthdays and all the special times in the lives of her children and extended family. Bev loved being outdoors. She was an avid golfer and was always seen out walking and running in the Lakewood neighborhood.
Beverly was a caring nurse to her patients, a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and a special neighbor and friend to so many others.
Bev is survived by her loving family. Her husband Todd; sons Devan Dalziel (Katie) and Dylan (Kelsey) Dalziel all of Devils Lake and Quinn (Maranda) Dalziel of Mandan, ND and was so excited to be a grandmother to a soon to be born granddaughter; mother Betty Bachmeier, Devils Lake; sister and brother-in-law Bernadette and Jim Chapman, Tacoma, WA; brothers and sisters-in-law Daryl and Chris Bachmeier, Dean and Amy Bachmeier all of Fargo, ND, Dawn Bachmeier and Jill Dalziel also of Devils Lake; father-in-law and mother-in-law Dale and Yvonne Dalziel, Apache Wells, AZ; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her father Bernie, brothers Doug Bachmeier and Joseph in infancy, grandparents, niece Jillian Rose Bachmeier and brother-in-law Scott Dalziel.
Funeral Services for Beverly will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 30, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake with the Very Reverend C.F. Wilhelm officiating. Bev will be laid to rest in the Devils Lake Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Monday at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
