Camilla Marie Smith passed on to the Spirit World on Friday, June 220, 2025, at her home. Camilla was born on October 26, 1954, to Hattie (Charboneau) and Joseph Peltier in Devils Lake ND.
In her younger years she worked at Dakota Tribal Industries and the Spirit Lake Casino for some time.
Camilla had many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews who she loved spending time with. She was a loving and caring woman who would give you the shirt off her back and give you her last dollar.
She loved playing her games on her phone, especially in the morning while having her coffee and cigarette. She loved company, visiting with friends, whether it was at her place or on the phone. She was Catholic and strongly believed in her religion. She always had on or carried a Rosary with her.
She had a very special niece, Angela Roddavilla who she talked to just about every day. Angela looked up to our Mother. She also had a special granddaughter Joanie Rae Rue with everyday also.
Our Mother will be greatly missed by many.
Camilla is survived by her loving family. Her children Sheila McKay, Tim McKay, Reign Roof Walker, Owen (Denise) McKay, Monica McKay, Ginger Rue and Mary Rue; brother Patrick Peltier; sister Lila Vannett; her many dear grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents Hattie and Joe Peltier, sisters Brenda Peltier, Mary Ellen Charboneau, Carol Charboneau and Beverly Peltier, her brother Joseph Peltier Jr., her nieces April Herald and Jolene Peltier.
