Crosby Gareth DeMarais
With profound sadness and endless love, we announce the birth and passing of our precious son, Crosby Gareth DeMarais, who was born and died on June 22, 2026, in Devils Lake, North Dakota.
Though Crosby's time with us was far too brief, he was deeply loved and will forever hold a place in the hearts of his family. He was the beloved son of Josh and Ashley DeMarais and joined his two brothers, Camden and Caleb, and his sister, Claire.
Crosby is survived by his parents, Josh and Ashley DeMarais, and his siblings at home. He is also survived by his grandparents, Steve Hamre, Karen Hamre, Troy (Teri) DeMarais, and Sherry DeMarais; his uncles, Jordan (Breanna) DeMarais, Justin (Alissa) DeMarais, Dalton (Kailey) Baum, and Braeden Crawford; his aunts, Shannon (Donovan) Dettling and Allie (Tyson) Lutman; and his cousins, Jacob and Trevor Dettling, Arya, Thea, Hayes, and Evelyn DeMarais, and Charlotte Baum. He is also survived by many other loving family members.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Gareth "Gary" and Judith DeMarais, Helen and Douglas Sharpe, and Beverly and Warren Hamre.
Although we never had the opportunity to watch Crosby grow, his life touched our hearts in ways that words cannot fully express. He was loved beyond measure and will be remembered always. The love we have for him will remain with us forever, and his memory will continue to be carried in the hearts of all who loved him.
Forever loved, forever cherished, forever our son.
