Daniel Patrick Senger was born on August 8, 1994, in Devils Lake ND at eight pounds ten ounces. Daniel was the son of Patrick M. and Janet (Bertsch) Senger. He attended Sweetwater Elementary School, Central Middle School, and Devils Lake High School. He was always active in baseball throughout his school years. He continued his education at Lake Region State College in Devils Lake. He had certification in construction and was CPR and First Aid Certified also.

He worked various jobs in Devils Lake and Grand Forks, starting as a teenager cooking at local restaurants including Mr. and Mrs. J’s, Old Main, Cedar Inn and the Pizza Ranch. He also cooked at Wild Bills and Perkins in Grand Forks for over 10 years. He was an excellent cook and had an extraordinary talent for creating his own recipes. When he was not cooking indoors, he was outdoors working on construction with Johanson Construction, concrete work with Elshaug Concrete, lawn and yard work with Superb Services and working at Dakota Dry Bean and local elevators in Devils Lake, Crary and Webster ND. He was always busy.

Daniel had many talents and skills. He could fix and repair anything; plumbing, car repair, fix little kid’s toys and his friend’s purse. He was an exceptionally talented photographer and saw a beautiful world and beautiful people through his lens. He was into Tae Kwon Doe growing up and still was a firm believer in fitness, exercise, working out. He loved to fish and, in the winter, enjoyed snowmobiling. Daniel loved his dogs and other people’s dogs. He would take anybody’s dog for a walk.

Daniel read the Bible often and the Book of Proverbs was his favorite. He loved to hear his mother sing “Amazing Grace and “Jesus Loves the Little Children.”

Daniel was a very political person and studied American History, loved to research, learn, and share and exchange ideas about our government and the law. He was a great listener, and his deep passion was to love and help others. He never judged anyone; he just did whatever he could to help. He was that very special friend, best friend, amazing son, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin, nephew in our lives. He loved spending time with his nephew Isaac.

Daniel was a handsome guy, with a sparkle in his eyes and a silly grin that captivated us all. He will be deeply missed every day by so many. We thank our Lord and Savior for giving Daniel to us to share his life with us.

Daniel’s loving family include his mother Janet Senger; father Patrick Senger; brother Jason Edward Senger; sister Crystal Marie Senger; nephew Isaac Edward Senger; grandmothers Elaine V.
