Charlie was born August 3rd 1981 to Leola White and the late Valentino White in Devils Lake North Dakota. Charlie grew up in Fort totten all of his life, he was raised by his mom and all his family in Fort Totten, he attended Tate topa elementary and middle school and he was in the Indian Club and cross country, track and field where he received numerous awards and good grades. Charlie had perfect attendance throughout school. He also attended Four winds high school for 3 years where he participated in basketball for 2 of those years. His senior year of high school he attended Sheyenne Public School where he was in cross country and track. He graduated from there in 1999.

Chuck and his other half Tristan started their family in 2005 with their oldest daughter Taryn (Calvin) White, followed the births of Danica "Tynee" White, Angel (Shiah) Longie, Kaylynn White, Daylon White Jr, Tylin Greybear, Teri Jean White and Annalyn Demarce.

Chuck completed Carpentry at Little Hoop Community College and received his Carpentry Certificate. He helped build the roof on the Church, the bus garage next to the new Alternative building at Four Winds, He helped with cstore roof, the new addition to the Little Hoop Community College, the Group home and numerous places on the Spirit Lake Reservation.

Chuck cherished the years he spent living with his sister Kami and taking in her and her home and her babies. He loved Indian tacos without the cheese and he loved his hot hamburger. He enjoyed listening to his music and playing horse shoes and telling his war stories and riding around jamming out with his bass. He really enjoyed winning a good argument with Tristan.

Chuck also worked for Greene Edge landscaping. Cutting lawns and making them beautiful.

He loved going to his mom's for the Holidays and liked watching the Powwow. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his grand babies Angelo Roulette and Draydon Alberts. He always checked on family and everyone and made sure they were ok.

His Brothers Jody White, Jon White, his sister Jennifer Thoreson. His other half Tristan, his sister/niece Vanessa Charboneau. His children

His nieces and nephews Kaston, Braxton, Vanessa, Jody, Lestina, Yvette, Ethan, Marylynda, Adrianna, Niama, Mila, Laila, Kaylynda, Diane, Dayson and Addison and baby Leola, and Charlie. Aunties Patricia White, Marsha White, Janet White, Melissa (Bentley) Greybear, Lorraine White, Bonnie (John) White, Lola Wanataan, Henrietta Longie, Willie Jo Longie. Uncle Frank Son Cavanaugh. Grandparents Shiela Thompson, Jerry Redfox, Kenneth "Spune" and Flo Dunn.

Preceded in death by his daughter Danica "Tynee" White and his grandson Drayven Alberts, his father Valentino White, his sister Kami White, his grandma Linda Alberts, aunty Alvina Kabeebs, Uncles Boy Longie, Elmer White Jr. Grandpa Casper Demarrias, Grandpa Elmer White Sr. Uncle Tom"ass". Grandma Evangeline White. Grandma Selma "Sally" Cavanaugh Uncle Allen Alberts Jr. His Best friend Felicia "Fish" Cavanaugh. Dallas Welch Sr.

Daylon P. White Sr., 44 of the Spirit Lake Nation passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

The Wake for Daylon will be held at the Fort Totten Wellness Center on Sunday, August 9, 2026 beginning at 4:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. The procession to Fort Totten will leave on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. from City Plaza, Devils Lake.

Funeral Services will be on Monday, August 10, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. also at Fort Totten Wellness Center with Pastor Paul Young officiating. Burial is in the Raven Hill Cemetery, rural Fort Totten.

Daylon is in the care of the Gilbertson Funeral Home
