Delores was united in marriage to Floyd James Stromme on September 22, 1953 in Devils Lake. Delores and Floyd briefly lived in Fort Hood, Texas while Floyd was serving in the U.S. Army. They returned to North Dakota and made their home on the Stromme family farm. Delores kept busy with their 5 children, gardening, canning, and raising her flower gardens. Delores and Floyd were frequent travelers and spent time visiting family all over the United States and a variety of international destinations. She was very social and enjoyed playing cards and games with her many friends.
