Harold, born September 2, 1951 in Devils Lake, ND the son of June Marie (Haggard) and Harold C. Strand Sr. He was educated in the Devils Lake School System, lived, worked and called Devils Lake home his entire life.
Harold worked as a detail and service technician at Riggin Motors for many years and later worked with Gary Krantz and his brother Rickey doing landscaping. In his spare time he loved tinkering with cars.
A favorite pastime of Harold’s was watching Western’s on T.V. and listening to Country Western music, and spending time with family.
A stroke forced a very drastic change in Harold’s life and he came to treasure his sister Elizabeth, brother Rickey and niece and nephew who were there to help him anyway they could. The energy, love, and kindness of his great nieces and great nephews kept him going and young at heart. He truly enjoyed several vacations to Georgia with Andriea and her family. He loved being in Georgia and would always ask if “We had to leave and come back home.” He was always interested in the events, activities, school projects, and grades of the family that was still going to school or college.
Though struggles were many, roads hard to climb, Harold felt blessed to have the love and support of his family always. He will be forever missed, forever loved, forever in our hearts.
Harold’s family include his sister Elizabeth Strand and brother Rickey Strand both of Devils Lake, ND; sister Betty Strand, Michigan, ND; nieces and nephews Andriea Strand (Chris) Christie (Devils Lake,ND): Carl Strand, Samantha Strand, Michaelah Strand: Lynn Eaton; great nieces and great nephews Jericka, Chris Jr., Victoria: Jocelyn, Xavier, Malachi and Dominic: Robert, James, Donna, Jorja; several great great nieces and great great nephews; many dear cousins also survive.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents Harold and June, nieces Jennifer Strand and Donna Beck, nephews Anthony Scheider, James Beck and his grandparents, beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
