Irene C. Johnson

Irene C. Johnson passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the age of 87. 

Funeral services for Irene will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 4:15 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake ND with Reverend Robert Buechler officiating.  Burial will be in the Devils Lake Cemetery. 

Irene Christine was born on October 10, 1934 to Emil and Catherine (Kraft) Fah in Southam, North Dakota.  

She was united in marriage to Lawrence Johnson on March 2, 1953 in Devils Lake. 

Irene worked as an aide at Mercy Hospital until she and Lawrence purchased North Central Granite, operating that business until retirement in 1999.  

Irene was preceded in death by her parents Emil and Catherine, son James L. Johnson, sisters Anna Gedde, Mary Weber, Virginia Crosgrove, Ethel Wickstrom, brothers Virgil Fah, Emil Fah Jr., Ralph Fah.  

She is survived by her husband Lawrence, her son Jerry (Kara) Johnson, daughter-in-law Paula Johnson, precious grandchildren Jeremiah, Daniel, Michael and Alisha and great grandchildren Soren, Archer and Riley and many nieces, nephews and their families.
