Jenny Lynn White-Chavez “Ohitika Win” (Courageous Woman). This Spiritual Name was given to her because in spite of her disability, her courage took her through life’s fullest. Now she flies with the eagles closest to the Heavens.

The Wake for Jenny will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 at St. Michael’s Wellness Center beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a time of prayer and remembrance at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Michael’s Wellness Center. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery.

Jenny Lynn was born on May 7, 1979 in Devils Lake ND, the daughter of Elmer White Jr. and Francine “Pinoch” Lamrose. Jenny began her journey home to the Creator on Friday, August 29, 2025 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

Jenny Lynn attended school at Four Winds Elementary School, Wahpeton Middle School, Flandreau High School, and Quentin Burdick Job Corp in Minot, ND. She continued her education at Cankdeska Cikana Community College in Fort Totten ND, graduating with an Associates Degree in Social Work. Jenny worked as an assistant answering phones for Devils Lake Taxi Service.

While attending Flandreau High School, she met Erno Chavez. They fell in love and were united in marriage on March 21, 2007, moved to Devils Lake where they lived, worked and raised Jenny’s beautiful daughter Brianna.

Jenny enjoyed dancing fancy and jingle dress at pow-wows and riding horse in her younger years. She loved playing Candy Crush on her phone and listening to her music. She loved her ROAD TRIPS with Ang and Twan. Most of all she loved to visit with family and friends.

Though Jenny may no longer be beside us, her spirit will be with us always.

Jenny’s loving and precious family include her daughter Brianna Lovejoy (Bryan); grandkids Kyion Lovejoy, Kyng Hill, Kaylee Lovejoy and Zaire Griggs; sisters Dacia Lamrose (Terrance), Lynissa Bull (James Bull), Wanita Jensen (Derrick), Kristy White, Angie White, Samona White, Samone White, Denise White, and Crystal White; brothers Dustin Foote, Evan Hill, Cory Jensen (Kate), Kyle White, Kristopher White Sr., Richard Cavanaugh (Sam Cavanaugh), Brandon Black, and Ira Jones; godparents Bob and Freda Charboneau; aunts Elaine Robinson, Gail Nash, Jackie Mountain, Jewel Felix, Beverly Luger, Patricia White, Marsha White, Janet White, Lorraine White, Melissa Greybear, Bonnie White, Jeannie Fournier, and Julia Cree; uncles Joseph Mountain Jr. and Frank Cavanaugh; special friend Twan Griggs; best friend/sister/caretaker Angela Huffman and her family Kirwin and Aubrie.

She will be welcomed home to Heaven by her Creator, parents Francine “Pinoch” Lamrose and Elmer White Jr., husband Erno Charvez who died on August 27, 2011, grandson Keelye Lovejoy, granddaughter Aubrey Medicine Stone, special furry friends Nanners and Chico, sister Lolita White, brothers Elmer White III, Sheldon Black, AJ Star and Patrick White, maternal grandparents Genevieve Jetty and Joseph Mountain Sr., paternal grandparents Evangeline and Elmer White Sr., aunts Sandra Miller, Jane Lamrose, Tammy Putnam, and Jolita Mountain, uncles Tino White and Tom Nash, in-laws Velma Chavez, Estalene Guina and Brent Guina.

Pallbearers will be her brothers Dustin, Evan, Cory, Kyle, Kris, Richard and Brandon and special friend Twan.

Honorary Bearers will be: Rena Lohnes Family, Melissa Merrick, Thomas Family, Tanya Dauphinais Family, Yolanda Chavez, Michelle Cavanaugh, Brian Pearson, Tanya Redroad, Lisa Matheny, LaCosta Rickford, Tracy “Buzz” Chase, Francis Greyhorn, Veronica McCloud, Ivan and Nettie Lovejoy Family, Kingston, Marley and Kezwin Running Bear, Stacy Thumb, Tyrone Locke, Amber Lara, Clara Azure, Jessie Azure, Clarence Longie, Lila Anderson, Nicole Anderson, Michelle LaFountain, Lola Waanatan, Carrie Ann Smith, Julie and Clarence Morin, Karen Jourdain, Taija Gayden, Yasmine Gayden, Tre Gayden, Jenny’s many friends from the Wahpeton and Flandreau Boarding Schools, the wonderful Physical Therapists and Nurses at Altru Hospital who have cared for Jenny through the years, Devils Lake Ambulance and Devils Lake Police Department for their efforts to save Jenny. Anyone else we may have forgotten, our apologies. She had so many friends.
