JoEtta M. Wang, 65 of rural Devils Lake, ND passed away on Friday morning, April 5, 2019 at her home in the loving care of her family and Altru Hospice. 

JoEtta Mae was born on January 10, 1954, the daughter of Earl and Elaine (Nehring) Sanderson at New Rockford, ND.

She attended school in New Rockford through the 4th grade and in 1966 moved to Devils Lake and attended school, graduating in 1972.  She attended 2 years at the Lake Region Junior College, graduating with an Associate of Arts Degree.

JoEtta was the secretary for the Ramsey County States Attorney for 16 years.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and Bible School and served on a Pastor Parish Committee.

JoEtta was on a bowling team and volley ball team at one time.  She grew up going to 4-H and later very active with her kids in 4-H.

JoEtta was united in marriage to Robert Wang on April 30, 1988 in Devils Lake and they made their home at rural Devils Lake.

JoEtta is survived by her husband Robert; daughter Heather (Brian) Erickson of Fargo, ND and son Ethan Wang of Devils Lake; precious grandson Parker Ray Erickson; mother-in-law Marlys Wang; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and an aunt.

She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Elaine; brother DelRay and twins Barry and Larry; grandparents, uncles, aunts, nephews and her father-in-law Peter Wang.

Funeral Services for Joetta will be held on Wednesday, April 10. 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Devils Lake with Reverend Lori Broschat officiating. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
