Joseph John Sherman of Fort Totten ND began his journey to the Spirit World on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND with loving family at his side. He was 45 years old. 

The Wake for Joseph will be on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Fort Totten beginning at 5:00 p.m. There will be a Prayer Service and time of sharing at 7:00 p.m. The procession to Fort Totten will leave on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. from City Plaza, Devils Lake. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, April 20, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the church with Reverend Steven Meyer celebrating the Mass. 

Burial will be in the Ross Cemetery, rural Tokio, ND
