Kevin Michael Summers, was bornin Carrington ND on February 17, 1962, one of seven children born to Roy R. and Delores (Anderson) Summers. He grew up in Devils Lake, attended  Sweetwater Elementary School and graduated from Central High School with the class of 1980.

He began working in the food industry, first at the Mayer Hotel Café, later to Mr. J’s and eventually was the manager of Mr. and Mrs. J’s.  He was proof of what hard work and determination could accomplish from dishwasher to management.  In the late 1990’s, Kevin moved to Fargo and called it home until his passing.  While living in Fargo, Kevin worked a variety of jobs including Sun-Mart, Nash Finch, Cenex C-Store and at the time of his death a convenience store in West Fargo.

Kevin’s favorite job was at Skateland. He so enjoyed roller skating, working with the kids and he even acted as the DJ when music was needed for the roller skaters.

Kevin was never idle. He was always on the move, always doing something. You would frequently see him out on his Honda Gold Wing, out fishing or reading and researching World War II history because his Dad served in that war. He was a firm believer in education, increasing your knowledge and did attend several colleges.

Kevin was a laid back, easy going, always ready to participate in any event or adventure kind of guy. His most treasured times were spent with his family. His siblings and nieces and nephews were so precious to him.

Kevin was a baptized and confirmed member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church and believed in the promises of his Lord.

His earthly life was too short, but our love and memories of Kevin will be forever in our hearts.

Kevin’s loving family include his siblings Jenille (Charley) Skill, Bellview NE, Randy (Carol) Summers, Fargo ND, Connie (David) Jones, Webster ND, Pam (Dan) Kraft, Devils Lake ND, Michele (Nick) Iverson, Hampden ND, Roxanne (Mike) Barendt also of Devils Lake; many nieces and nephews and their families; aunt Inez Fandrich, Carrington ND and many dear cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and numerous aunts and uncles.
