Laura Dahl

The Mass of Christian Burial for Laura will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cando, ND with burial in the church cemetery. 

Laura Dahl, age 105 passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 in Everett, Washington.

Laura Jane Dahl was born on December 12, 1916 at the family farm in Balfour ND, the daughter of John and Edith McCarthy.  She graduated from Balfour High School in 1936. 

She and her sister Dorothy started the D & L Beauty shop inn Cando ND and they were later joined by their sister Gloriann. 

Laura was united in marriage to Per “Pete” dahl on June 2, 1944 in Cando.  They lived in Cando until 1957 when they moved to Harvey ND where she starte d the second D&L Beauty Shop. 

In 1966 they moved to Bellevue Washington where she worked for Overlake Hospital and RFE Dramtics. In 1971 they moved to Mesa AZ and Laura worked at the Mesa Lutheran Hospital and later for Motorola until she retired in 1984. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Peter on July 3, 1993, daughter MaDonna and grandson Jamie. 

She is survived by her loving family.  Her sons Denis Dahl of Granite Falls, WA and Doug Dahl of Marysville WA; 6 grandchildren Liz, Jeremy (Jennifer), Dakota, Christian, Faith “Sis” and Caleb; great grandchildren Jamie, Jordan and Harlow; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cando with burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery in the spring.
