Lisa Marie Dosch, lifelong resident of Devils Lake, ND, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the age of 54 years.
There will be a gathering of family and friends at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake, ND on Monday, May 25, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake with burial in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
Lisa was born in Devils Lake, on August 2, 1971, the daughter of Eddie and Agnes (Bertsch) Kraft. She was educated in the Devils Lake Public School System and called Devils Lake her home for her entire life.
Lisa married Jeff Dosch on June 27, 1998, and in April of 1999 their precious son Hunter Jeffrey was born. Being a mother to Hunter was her greatest joy in life.
Lisa was a tomboy when she was young. If she wasn’t running around the West side neighborhood with her cousins and friends, you would find her in the garage tinkering on cars with her Dad. She was a Daddy’s girl! Wherever you would find Eddie working on something, you would find Lisa right next to him. Her favorite project was restoring her Chevy Nova with her Dad. She had a curiosity about how things worked, so she loved to take things apart, study them, then try and put them back together. That did not always work out so well. There were extra parts, or duct tape holding something together. When asked what happened, Lisa would reply “it now has that extra Kraft touch!”
Lisa’s work history was that of service to others. She worked at the Dairy Queen, managed the Eagles’ Club for a time and was a sales representative at Lake Chevy. She worked at Prairieview School, was a clerk at True Value Hardware, a teller at 1st State Bank of Munich and most recently a teller at US Bank.
Lisa loved roller skating, playing volleyball, softball, and jet skiing. She loved the outdoors, being at the lake was her happy place where she felt peace. There were countless memories made and shared with family that always put a smile on her face.
Lisa loved being a wife and mom. Whether it was at the lake, on vacation, watching movies or playing games, any time spent with Jeff and Hunter made her happy. Lisa and Hunter shared the same sense of humor when it came to movies. The sound of their laughter rang through the house. Lisa’s ability to make the smallest projects or trips into these grand adventures was unforgettable.
Over the past several years, Lisa battled many health issues that prevented her from doing the things she loved. But she was always there to help her family and friends anyway she could.
Lisa embraced life with a fierce, tender spirit and open heart, even as her own health issues weighed heavy. Her love for her son and her family was wholehearted and unwavering, and it remains the truest part of her life story.
Lisa is survived by her loving family. Her husband Jeff of 28 years; son Hunter; mother Agnes Kraft, Devils Lake; siblings Eugene (Loretta) Kraft, Devils Lake, Patsy Kraft, Crookston MN, Donovan Kraft, Devils Lake and Allen (Lisa) Kraft, Wahpeton ND; mother-in-law Mary Sattler, Fargo; brothers and sisters-in-law Steve (Lola) Dosch, Fargo ND and Mitch (Jennifer) Dosch, Edan, NC; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Lisa was reunited with her father, Eddie Kraft, father-in-law Dan Dosch, and many other dear relatives.
Rest in peace, Snoozer!
