Lonnie Matthew Owlboy of St. Michael, ND passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND at the age of 53.

Visitation will be on Wednesday (tomorrow) June 3, 2026 at St. Michael's Catholic Church from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a time of Prayer and Remembrance at 7:00 p.m. The procession to St. Michael will leave on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. from City Plaza, Devils Lake.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Michael's Church with Reverend Paul Schuster celebrating the Mass. Burial will be in the Owlboy Cemetery at a later date.

Active Casket Bearers will be Adam Rue, Jesse Cavanaugh, Phillip "Scooter" Lohnes, Jeff Cavanaugh, Elton Demarce, and Jared Owlboy. 

Lonnie Matthew Owlboy was born on November 10, 1972 in Devils Lake, ND the son of Lillie (Belgarde) and Francis Owlboy Sr..

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents Francis Owlboy Sr. and Lillie (Belgarde) Owlboy, siblings Monica Owlboy and Alvin Owlboy Sr.; nieces Kami Birdhorse, Melinda Whiteman, Delia Whiteman, Brittany Whiteshield, and Felicia Owlboy; grandparents Mary Jane and Peter Belgarde Sr., Michael Thompson, Thomas and Nancy Owlboy, several beloved aunts, uncles, cousins.
