Michael G. Bosch

Michael G. Bosch, 93 of Devils Lake formerly of Warwick, ND passed away on Monday, November 25, 2019 at Devils Lake, ND.

Michael George Bosch was born on March 2, 1926 at Devils Lake, ND the son of Michael and Katherine (Senger) Bosch. He grew up in the Webster/Starkweather area until moving with the family to the family farm at Warwick, ND.  He attended a country school in Webster.  Mike farmed with his Dad and later purchased the family farm.

After moving to Webster, Michael met Loidah Molstad, a pretty Warwick girl and they were united in marriage on June 26, 1951. After 40 years of farming, they retired and in 1994 moved to Devils Lake. 

Mike was an active member of St. James Catholic Church and after moving to Devils Lake a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and former member of the Knights of Columbus. He also enjoyed membership in the Warwick 55 Club. 

Farming was Mike’s passion and after moving off the farm, his garden became his farm. His connection to the soil, to nature and to stewardship of the land that he considered a blessing from God.

Mike is survived by his loving family. His children Kathleen (Howard) Tweeten, Bismarck, ND, Ronald (Hollee) Bosch, Wheatland, WY, Michael L. Bosch, Hazen, ND, Nadine (Mark) Heit, Wahpeton, ND and Cynthia Bosch, Jamestown, ND; granddaughters Kacey (Cody) Tweeten-King, Kelani (Andrew) Urlaub, Paige (Matthew) Nielsen and Crystal Bosch; great granddaughters Shianne Arth, Quinn King, Kesli King, Koryn Urlaub, Alora Urlaub and Evelyn Nielsen; brothers Joe (Marie) Bosch, Devils Lake, Paul (Issable) Bosch, Sebeka, MN and Ed (Ellie) Bosch, Minot, ND; sisters Mary Lauinger and Margaret Lange both of Devils Lake and beloved sisters-in-law, brother-in-law and many nieces, nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Loidah on February 11, 2015, granddaughters Kari Bosch and Haley (Tweeten) Arth, brothers Anton, Arnold and George Bosch and sisters Jean Chepulis, Emma Miller and Leona Nelson.

Casket Bearers for Mike will be Cody Kiing, Cody Arth, Roger Miller, Myron Bosch, Paul Chepulis and Glenn Bosch. Reading the Scriptures will be Kacey Tweeten-King and Crystal Bosch and bearing the Eucharistic gifts will be Shianne Arth and Quinn King.

Mass of Christian Burial for Mike will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake with Very Reverend C.F. Wilhelm celebrating the Mass. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Monday, December 2, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and will continue on Tuesday at the church one hour prior to the funeral Mass.
