Mildred Mary Johnson

Mildred “Millie” Mary Johnson, 87, Green Bay, WI, formerly from Park River, ND, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2019.

She was born September 8, 1932 in Grahams Island, ND to the late Robert and Mary (Jones) Schlieve.

Millie attended school in Warwick, ND. She went on to Josefs Hair Academy in Fargo, ND to become a hairdresser, and graduated in 1951. Millie married Lloyd Johnson on June 23^rd 1951 in Hawley, MN. The couple moved to Park River, ND in 1959 where they resided for the next 50 years.

Millie loved to travel with her children and husband. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Park River. After Lloyd’s retirement they wintered in Texas. She loved to sew, play cards, go fishing, camping in their camper, play bingo, bowl and do word puzzles.

Millie is survived by her 5 children, Gary Johnson, Linda (Tim) Baker, Daryl (Tracy Taylor, fiancée) Johnson, Marlene Knetter, and Lori Ann (Aaron) McCardle; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Hazel Ralston; 2 brothers, Donald (Lola) Schlieve and Arthur Schlieve; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Schlieve; husband, Lloyd Johnson; sister, Mable Brown; 3 brothers, Lyle Schlieve, Leonard Schlieve and Tilford Schlieve.

Funeral Services on Monday, November 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake, ND. Burial in the Devils Lake Cemetery.
