Patricia Lynn Jackson-Robertson, 57, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at her home in St. Michael, with her loving family by her side.

Patty was the loving daughter of Doris Longie (Buddy Longie) and the late Wilfred Jackson. She was born on November 26, 1965 in Devils Lake. She grew up on the Spirit Lake Nation and graduated from Four Winds High School with the Class of 1984. She loved playing basketball and was a cheerleader.

Patty met John Sherman and together they raised her sons, Vernell Jackson and Kyle Ironhawk. As they grew up, they enjoyed going to their games and watching them play basketball for the Warwick Warriors Team.

On August 3, 2003, Patty married the love of her life, David Robertson, they raised her grandson, Mason “Kane” Smith. All her grandchildren were the center of her life, she held especially close to her, her granddaughter Khloe. She always had one or another grandchild with her, “gramma Patty” they called her.

Patty worked at various jobs for the Spirit Lake Tribe and the Spirit Lake Bingo throughout her life. She decided to continue her education at Cankdeska Cikana Community College, where she earned her AA Liberal Arts Degree in 2016. During this time, she worked in the CCCC Evelyn Greene Adult Learning Center helping GED candidates study for their GED Test. After graduation she continued work as a before and after care provider for the CCCC Head Start Program.

Due to health issuers, Patty was forced to retire. However, after receiving her kidney transplant Patty was determined to go back to work. She was actively seeking employment, as she was one who always worked to provide for herself and her family.

PattyLynn loved watching her nephews Mark Fassett, Dorvan McKay, Jr. (Baby D) and Dwight Hunt play basketball for the Warwick Warriors. She went to all the games cheering them on. When they won the district championship then on to state playoffs in Bismarck, Patty was right there cheering and so proud of them.

PattyLynn devoted herself to her family, especially her mom and grandchildren. She was a loving and caring daughter, sister, mother, niece, aunt, grandma, cousin and dear friend to many.  She opened her heart and home to many in need.

Patty loved spending time with her family playing bingo, Yahtzee, 6, 5, 4. Bingo was a favorite pastime of Patty’s and no matter where it was she was there. She also just liked to visit and joke with family and friends. She will be greatly missed, but not forgotten. We Love You Patty!
