Quentin “Beesh” Leonard Alberts, 72, was born March 15, 1946 and called home on January 30, 2019.

Beesh was born and raised in Fort Totten, ND where he attended school at Calvary Square, Oberon, ND and eventually graduating from Maddock High School. He was part of the first graduating class of Little Hoop Community College.  From there he would attend the University of North Dakota where he made the President’s List.  He worked for the Spirit Lake Tribe in various job titles, including Finance.  After his work in Finance he moved to Bismarck, ND.  He lived there until he became ill, he then resided at the Good Samaritan Society in Lakota, ND until his passing. 

Beesh was very generous and always thought of others. When family or friends needed help he would be the first to offer without question.  He enjoyed listening to CCR and loved cars, he was very clever and loved to joke around. 

Beesh is survived by his hunka son, Dale Alberts; sisters Winona Fox and Sally Cavanaugh; aunt Marie Abraham and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents George and Alvina Alberts; brothers Christopher “Buddy” Alberts, Allen Alberts, Roger “Hudge” Alberts and Joseph Alberts; sisters Virginia Lancelot and Linda Alberts.

Pallbearers: Laidman Fox Jr., Tyrel Alberts, Jaydean Alberts, Roger Alberts, Allen Alberts, Woody Longie, Dasan Alberts, Davey Davidson, Joseph Lancelot, Jody White and Kaston White.

Honorary Pallbearers: Barbara Robertson, Beverly Robertson, Brenda Robertson, Daniel Cavanaugh Sr., Myra Pearson, Bob Greywater, Cletus Lawrence, Tony and Vina McDonald, Demus McDonald, Dinah May Arcedabe, Peter Belgarde, Virginia Alberts Foote, Reaba Mack, Andrea Peltier, All the children of Mercy Jerome Nelson, All the children of Loretta Jerome Demarce and many other friends and family.

A very special Thank You to the Good Samaritan Society in Lakota, ND.

Viewing will be held at the Fort Totten Wellness Center on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. The procession to Fort Totten will leave on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from City Plaza.

All Drum Groups, Singers and Speakers are welcome to share their songs and stories in memory of Beesh.
