River Kateri, precious daughter of Kendra Schlosser and Zach Smeltzer was born and died on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at Altru Hospital, Devils Lake, ND.

Our precious River was loved from the moment of her conception and we will hold her in our hearts forever.

We are the loving family to River Kateri that survive. Her parents Kendra and Zach; brother Gunner Smeltzer; grandparents Karen and Gary Eback, Mary Ludwig and Dave Schlosser, and Paula Smeltzer; great grandparents Elaine and Paul Chepulis, and Sharon Smeltzer-Darling; aunts and uncles Kristen Olsen, Michael Reeves, Jacob Smeltzer, Callie Price, Megan and Dalton Koropatnicki; several great aunts, great uncles, and many dear cousins.

River is now in the arms of Jesus and her sister Kateri Schlosser and grandparents Scott Smeltzer and Phyllis Eback and other relatives.

There will be a time of Prayer on Friday, September 11, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake with interment to follow in the Devils Lake Cemetery.
