Robert Alan Little Jr.
“Koyag Ta Pejuta Wicasa”
(Wears His Medicine)
Robert began his journey to the Spirit World on Friday, May 1, 202 at his brother, Joseph’s home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 14, 1982, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, the son of Roberta Littleghost and Robert Little Sr.
Robert attended school at Warwick Public School and graduated with the class of 2001, along with attending the Vo-Tech Program receiving certification in carpentry and automotive.
After high school he was blessed with eight beautiful children: Brooklyn, Robert III, Brielle, Samuel, Eliza, Ignatius, Morgan, and Aiden Little.
During his younger years he was working right along side his father working at the Spirit Lake Housing. He enjoyed working at something new every day while at the housing. He would work on the project until the job was done. Robert knew how to mud, tape, and sheetrock a home. He would be called upon whenever community members needed a remodel of their home. He fixed anything he could get his hands on.
Eventually Robert’s younger brothers Joseph and Michael joined him with working on housing projects. They would always say “Here comes the little boys.” He made lifelong friends Greg, Scott, and Terry. Later on, Robert went with his Uncle Bobby to Minneapolis, Minnesota to work and visit family and friends. He then met Jr. Eastman and became very good friends. They rode bikes all over the place, including to work.
Robert was our “Mr. Fix It” for everything around the house, cars, and yards. Robert and his brothers were always the ones to call upon when something was broken or needed to be looked at. If one of them didn’t fix it right, they blamed each other and eventually got it right in the end.
He loved his children, checking on them on a daily basis. More importantly, when he became a grandpa, his grandchildren gave a whole different meaning of love to him. His love for his children and grandchildren will never go away.
