Bob Mertens

Robert J. “Bob” Mertens, a lifetime dairyman/farmer of the Lake Region, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025 at CHI, St. Alexius Health, Devils Lake Hospital at the age of 74.

Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. led by the Knights of Columbus with a 4th Degree Honor Guard.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake with Reverend Balasamy Karmalja celebrating the Mass. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. Fire Fighters Honors will be accorded by the Devils Lake Volunteer Rural Firefighters.
