Stacy Ann Azure Green, 64, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 26, 2025 at CHI Hospital in Devils Lake.
Stacy was born on February 16, 1961 to Morris and Dorothy (Baker) Azure in Devils Lake, ND and attended Fort Totten and Warwick School. She later entered the workforce where she worked various jobs throughout her younger years of her life. Stacy always had meaningful jobs. She worked as a CNA for a few years helping to care for others. She also helped people dealing with chemical dependencies.
In 1996, she met Ross Green while working at Spirit Lake Casino. They fell in love and 4 years later they got married, he was the love of her life. Eventually Stacy and Ross became foster parents and took care of many children over the years. She was a mother and a comforter to not just her own children, but to many foster children who she helped raise.
Stacy’s past times included playing cards, knitting, doing puzzles, listening to country music and driving around. She loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Ross, Children Jaymison and Alanis, Kenneth and Kendra Thompson; Grandchildren Asontae WhiteBuffalo and Parker Dauphinais; her Godchildren, Erik Azure, Keith Azure; her siblings, Barbara Azure, Marla (Dennis) Azure, Blake Azure, Joe (Mary) Azure, Clara Azure, Margo (Jeff “Bubba”) DeCoteau, her baby sister Rose Azure and many Nieces, Nephews, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Stacy now rejoins her loved ones in Heaven. Her parents, Morris and Dorothy Azure; brother, David Azure; Grandparents, Andrew and Clara Azure, Paul and Zyphrine (Duboise) Baker; special friend Meda (Littlewind) Jetty; Nephews David Gonzalas and Nattiel Santos; Niece Michelle Omen; Great Nephew Larse Azure Jr., and Bud Azure; Great-Great Nephew Adonis Azure.
There will be visitation at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Friday, January 2, 2026 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. The procession to St. Michael will leave at 4:00 p.m. on Friday from City Plaza, Devils Lake. Mass of Christian Burial for Stacy will be on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. also at the church with burial in the Azure Cemetery, rural St. Michael, ND.
