Stephanie “Chi Chi” Ramōn, “Canté Wasake Winyań” (Strong Hearted Woman)

Stephanie was born on July 29, 1961. She peacefully journeyed to the Spirit World on Monday, March 2, 2026 at home with loving family at her side. She was 64 years of age.

Stephanie was the daughter of the late Stephen A. Brown Sr. and Clara (Nanapush) Brown. She attended Oberon Elementary School and then continued her education at Fort Totten High School, graduating in 1980. At Fort Totten High School, she was a cheerleader and a basketball player and that is where she learned all her skills.

She worked for the Tribal Clerk of Courts. She resigned from that position to become a full time parent to the late Jeffrey Robertson.

Stephanie was a very dedicated, loving grandmother. She treasured her grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. She was a fun loving, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, caring sister, aunt, grandmother, and mother. She was always willing to help anyone, whenever she could.

She married the late Manuel Ramōn in 1990 at the Gospel Outreach in Grand Forks, ND.

Her hobbies included sewing, beading, gambling, 2500 card game, drawing, making Jingle dresses, BINGO, loved listening to Selena and Emilio. She loved help prayer books, Star Trek (she would give you the SPOCK), Katie Perry and Beyonce. She also loved to draw portraits, painting and earned bragging rights as the Fry Bread champion in 2017. Her favorite sports team were the Green Bay Packers, she loved Aaron Rodgers. Her favorite TV shows were Ancient Aliens, Leave It To Beaver, The Munsters, Downton Abbey, and Game of Thrones. If she wasn’t singing Karaoke she was listening to Michael Jackson, Billy Jean, Elvis, and Dwight Yoakum.

Her favorite drink was Pepsi. She was protective of her family and always stuck up for her little and big sisters. She enjoyed anyone’s company, made friends everywhere she went. Stephanie Ramon will forever be in our hearts.
