IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thomas Andrew
Lindquist
August 11, 1942 – February 11, 2026
Thomas Andrew "Tom" Lindquist Sr. of Devils Lake, ND passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Golden Acres Manor, Carrington, ND at the age of 83.
Thomas Andrew “Tom” Lindquist Sr. was born August 11, 1942 in Duluth, Minnesota to Gordon and Enzie (Gooler) Lindquist. Tom attended school and graduated from Toivola-Meadowlands High School in Meadowlands, MN in 1961. He enlisted in the Airforce in 1962 and served four years and was honorably discharged. Tom worked various jobs throughout the years in Minnesota and North Dakota. Tom was very talented in many different areas and you would often hear him say he was, “the jack of all trades, master of none.” One of Tom’s many jobs was cooking and he could be found often cooking for his loved ones. The last job he worked before retiring was at the Fort Totten Historic Site in Fort Totten, ND. He would say that of all the things he’s done, this was his favorite job. Tom also was very proud and loved being a grandpa. His grandchildren brought him so much joy. In his last few years, Tom was known as the guy in the electric scooter waving at all the people who passed by even if he knew them or not.
Tom is survived by his children, Dawn (Monte) Ryan, Leslie Lindquist (Kori), and Thomas Lindquist Jr., all of Devils Lake and bonus son Jeff (Patti) Schlies of Pittsburg, TX; His grandchildren Jocelyn Miller, Cody Parrish, Victoria Parrish (John), Trysten Parrish, Parker Halle, and Courtney Ryan of Devils Lake, Hailey Lindquist of Summerville, SC, and Rylan Lindquist of Minnesota. His sisters, Vickey (George) Krier of Anchor Point, Alaska, Patti Bryan of St. Joseph, Missouri. Brothers, Joe Lindquist of San Diego, California, Chuck Lindquist, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Gordy Lindquist, Stillwater, Minnesota and many nieces and nephews.
He is reunited in death by his wife, Marcia, his sons, Billy Jo and Joey, his parents Gordon and Enzie, his sister Judy, and many other family members.
