Tyler returned to Devils Lake and worked with his Dad at Halverson Motor Sports until moving to Bismarck where he was presently employed with Interstate.
Tyler loved the outdoors; deer hunting and pheasant hunting with his dog, Sophie, long range shooting and he enjoyed snowmobiles and snowmobile racing competition with his brother at a young age. He could build rifles and did reloading as a hobby.
Tyler’s passion was to serve his country and he did under Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom 11/12. He served with honor and was the recipient of many commendations and medals. The demands of deployments and sacrifices necessary to be a good soldier caused body, mind and soul to be challenged.
