Victor D. Darulis, 86 of Devils Lake, ND passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Altru Hospital, Devils Lake.

Victor was born on February 6, 1940 to Victor and Anna Darulis in Devils Lake Hospital. Victor attended a country school, then went on to high school for 2 years.

He enlisted in the Navy and was stationed in San Diego, California. When he left the Navy he went to work as a painter. After leaving California, Victor went back to Devils Lake. He started working as a semi-driver for Schwan Oil and worked there for many years until he had to retire because of ill health.

He is survived by his loving family including his sister MaryAnn Bakke of Thief River Falls, MN; niece Shelley Nyland also of Thief River Falls; nephews Dennie Darulis of Carpio, ND; many great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.

He was reunited with parents, grandparents, brother Dennis, sister-in-law Ramona Darulis, brother-in-law Bob Bakke, nephew Ken Bakke, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Graveside Services for Victor will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Norway Lutheran Cemetery, rural Devils Lake. Military Honors will be accorded by the Neathery-Simensen Post #756, Devils Lake Veterans of Foreign Wars and the North Dakota Military Funeral Honors Team-Navy.
