Baby Zion Jayloni “Hoksina Iyekciza” Lawrence, was born June 16, 2022 at Sanford Hospital in Bismarck ND to Courtney Lawrence, weighing 11.3 ounces. During his short time on earth, he gave his doctors and nurses a hard time. He was a true fighter and loved to hear his mother’s voice. Zion was greatly loved and will be forever missed by his older brothers Antonio, Raiden, and Aicen who were excited to bring their baby brother home from the hospital. Now, Zion will be our sweet angel in Heaven. 

Zion is survived by his mother Courtney Lawrence, brothers Antonio, Raiden, Aicen; grandparents Ann Wadsworth and Darrell Lawrence; great grandmother Darlene Wadsworth; great grandfather Joseph Lawrence Sr.; aunt Alice Wadsworth; uncles Lance Wadsworth and Ian Greybear; special cousins Brylin, Edin, Adele and Kennedi and many great aunts and great uncles.   

Zion was greeted and will be loved by relatives in the Spirit World. His great grandmother Viola Lawrence, great grandpa Tony Wadsworth, special uncle Kevin SpottedBird, aunt Danielle Lawrence and many more aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Brylin Wadsworth and Ian Greybear.

The family would like to thank Bismarck Sanford NICU doctors and nurses for providing care for Zion. The family appreciates all of the prayers and concerns extended to them during this difficult time. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Michael ND with Reverend Paul Schuster celebrating the Mass. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Bismarck ND on Friday.
