LouAnn A. Johnson, 47 of Devils Lake, ND died on Sunday morning, October 1, 2006 at the Good Samaritan Center, Devils Lake. Funeral Services for LouAnn will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Devils Lake. Rev. Harold Ovre will officiate and burial will be in the Vasa Cemetery, rural Esmond, North Dakota. Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with family present from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation on Thursday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Serving as Casket Bearers for LouAnn will Dana Salisbury, Douglas Iverson, Ron Obenchain, Grant Obenchain, Bruce Georgeson and Tyrone Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jacque Schwab-Veer and all the employees of the Good Samaritan Center. Music will be provided by Russell and Lynda Pearson. LouAnn Arlene Johnson was born on July 13, 1959 at Devils Lake, ND the daughter of Harold and Dorothy (Treon) Johnson. She attended Sweetwater Elementary School, Devils Lake and graduated from the Anne Carlsen Center in Jamestown. She returned to Devils Lake and attended Lake Region Junior College and graduated from the secretarial program. She then made Devils Lake her home the rest of her life, moving to the Good Samaritan Center in February of 2004. She was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church. LouAnn had many hobbies and pastimes and was into the many crafts and especially enjoyed doing bead work and stitch work. After her mother died, she devoted much time and energy into learning how to cook and bake and was very accomplished at both. She had several pen-pals through the years and actually had been corresponding with one pen-pal for over 24 years. LouAnn loved Country Music and her favorite artist was Travis Tritt. LouAnn’s kind and gentle spirit will be very missed by all who knew and loved her. LouAnn is survived by her father, Harold of Devils Lake Uncles and Aunts: Leonard Johnson Arthur Johnson both of Esmond, ND Agnes Johnson, Devils Lake Eloise and Marty Lucht, New Rockford Ivy Johnson, Spring Lake Park, Minnesota Ann and Willis Wheeler, Kenai, Alaska Ardy and Glenn Salisbury, Devils Lake Del and Joan Treon, Culver, Oregon Elna Treon, Aloha, Oregon Donna Browning of Cornelius, Oregon Many Cousins also survive.
