Karl Lawrence Kraft was born on March 16, 1966, in Devils Lake ND, the son of Lawrence and Mary (Martinson) Kraft. He was reared and educated in Devils Lake with the class of 1984. After high school Karl lived and worked in California for a few years.

Karl returned to Devils Lake and worked as a cook for several area restaurants before going to work with his brother Keith at Goodyear Service Tire. Karl continued at Goodyear until health issues forced him to retire.

Karl was united in marriage to Brenda Moore on August 20, 1994, at Lakewood Park in Devils Lake.  They called Devils Lake home and are the proud parents of Jolea and Addison.

Karl enjoyed the outdoors and any chance he could he was out riding motorcycle, snowmobiling, or fishing, but his greatest enjoyment came from doting on his “princesses”.  He was always front and center at their skating and dance competitions and was the proudest dad at “daddy-daughter” events.    He even took them for pedicures coming home with pink polish on one foot and blue on the other. He also enjoyed grilling and loved to share his creations with family and friends.

Karl was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and always enjoyed participating in the Spirit Lake Riders events.

Gone from our sight too soon but will live on in our hearts and memories forever.

Karl’s loving family include his wife of 27 years, Brenda; precious daughters Jolea Kraft and Addison Kraft all of Devils Lake; mother Mary Kraft; brothers Kurtis Kraft and Kevin (Kimberly) Kraft all of Devils Lake; father-in-law and mother-in-law Bryan and Beverly Moore, Mekinock ND; brother-in-law Bobby John Moore (Michelle), Arvilla ND; sister-in-law Beth (Ryan) Safranski, Lakeville MN; nephews and nieces Kenneth, Kevin Jr., Michael, Nathan, Chelsi, Courtney, Stephonie, Kimberly, Bryanna, Braden, Olivia, Cora and Jacob and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
