Our Staff

Stephanie Mongeon was born in Rolette, North Dakota and raised on the family farm northeast of Rolette. After graduating from Rolette High School, she attended St. Luke's School of Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Rolette Community Hospital, Rolla Clinic, Rolla Hospital and as the Charge Nurse of the Trinity-Lenoir Dialysis Unit at Belcourt for over 8 years for a total of 25 years in the Nursing Profession. She attended Worsham College of Mortuary Science in DesPlaines, Illinois and after serving her apprenticeship with the Niewoehner Funeral Home in Rolla she was licensed as a Funeral Director/Embalmer in 1988. Stephanie has been a part of the Gilbertson Funeral Home Staff for over 13 years.

Stephanie is married to David Armstrong a Rolette farmer and they have a daughter, April. She and her husband, Victor have a daughter, Jenny and a son, Ephram and live in Bemidji, Minnesota.

Stephanie is an active member of the Lake Region area. She is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and serves as Trustee. She is presently the First Vice President of the Devils Lake Kiwanis Board. She also serves on the North Dakota Funeral Directors Board as the President for the year 2008-2009.
